Amber and Nick who are paving a path in their first year of the Transitions Program, joined three of their alumni peers and a staff member at Indian Ladder Farms on Sunday, October 7, 2018 where they independently toured the area and had the opportunity to go apple picking.
The College Experience Cell Phone Photography class led by Suzanne Bernier, Coordinator of the College Experience Transitional Year, traveled to the Empire State Plaza to capture the essence of reflections, building configurations, enigmatic sculptures, and other pieces of city scenery that represent art in a plethora of ways.
Sean, Ryan, Mark, and Noelle had the chance to socialize with incredible students from the College of Saint Rose at a gathering of the Geeks of the Round Table. The club president, Nikos Assimakopoulos took the time to tell us about what a typical meeting is like and the fun activities.
Jessica is an alumnus of the College Experience and graduated with the Class of 2011 and we are pleased to feature her with one of the completed projects she has been working on this Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Guilderland YMCA, where she serves as a volunteer for two hours every week.
On the date of Friday, September 21, 2018 the fine game of golf and the College Experience joined forces at the Colonie Country Club in Voorheesville, NY. The purpose of the event was to raise funding for our valuable programs and provide necessary resources for the students.

It is a pleasure for us to introduce freshman student, Danielle. She is twenty years old and comes to us from Rockland County, NY. Danielle is excited about the prospect of learning both life and job skills over the next two years.
On Friday, September 14, 2018, the Local History class visited the Schuyler Mansion, where the students were brought back to a time when the urban chaos of buildings were not even a distant fantasy, and sprawling farmland comprised the Capital Region.
At the College Experience and within all of Living Resources, Inc. we encourage our individuals to make healthy choices that enhance their minds and bodies. With that in mind, the College Experience had a healthy start to its first Walking Club meeting of the semester.
On Monday, August 13, 2018 the College Experience proudly welcomed the new freshmen students and their loving families who came to drop them off at our program. Our veteran senior students were amazing with welcoming the new arrivals and helping with luggage as well as showing them the ropes.
What comes after graduation? Many College Experience students, in fact most, choose to remain in Albany. They maintain friendships with their fellow and former graduates, form romantic partnerships, and some get married.
Through our C2L Program, the College Experience support staff offers dedicated transition support and guidance, helping students in the year after graduation with apartment leases and job placements, and then literally forever after as members of the Living Resources community.
Since 2005, students enrolled in The College Experience have been a welcomed part of a coeducational college community located in Albany, New York. We partner with Russell Sage College, and our students are welcomed members of both Russell Sage’s Albany and Troy campus communities.
Students are offered a practical core curriculum and a wide variety of electives.
Our dorms are beautifully remodeled city residences located just a few blocks from Russell Sage’s Albany campus. Students live together in groups of 3 – 9. Each student has his or her own bedroom and share common living areas. Seniors serve as mentors to freshmen and assist them in many meaningful ways.
