Jen: Assistant Executive Director
Jennifer is the Assistant Executive Director of the College Experience and Career Next Programs in addition to the Employment Services Department. Jen graduated from Keene State College in 2000 with an Associate Degree in Human Services and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. Jen has been employed with Living Resources since 2001. She became Director of the College Experience in 2007, the Director of all Program Services for Living Resources in 2010, and was promoted to Assistant Executive Director in 2016.
Kevin: Residential Coordinator
Kevin has been the Residential Coordinator for the College Experience since 2008. His tasks include writing residential plans of service for the students and managing the house staff. Previously, Kevin spent 15 years in the radio business, both on-air and in management positions at Albany radio stations WPYX and WRCZ. He graduated from SUNY Albany in 1990.
Bill: Internship Coordinator
Bill has been an adjunct professor with the College Experience since fall of 2008, teaching classes in political culture and practical history. As Internship Coordinator, Bill is responsible for developing and maintaining internship placements that match the abilities and interest of seniors in The College Experience. Previously, Bill was a service coordinator case manager and special education teacher for more than 30 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY New Paltz and a master’s degree and CAS from the University at Albany.
Kelly: Academic Coordinator
Kelly has been in the field of education in human services since 2003. She started at Living Resources at the Site Based Day Habilitation program in 2010. Kelly began working for the College Experience in 2014 as a QIDP Kelly’s current role as Academic Coordinator involves the oversight of all academic courses, scheduling College Experience classes, curriculum development, teaching, and advising students. Kelly is also an adjunct professor at the College of Saint Rose where she teaches an introductory writing class and has developed a new course: Disability and Literature. Kelly holds a B.A. in Sociology and English from SUNY Albany and an M.A. in English from The College of Saint Rose.
Jen: Career Development Specialist
Jen has a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education from SUNY Oneonta ’14 and has a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University ’16. Jen teaches internship seminar, career prep, and career exploration for the College Experience. She enjoys developing new business partnerships that meets, but challenges the needs of our students, while also developing a successful match with the employer! Some of Jen’s passions are diversity education—she will be working with the students in an elective course that introduces different populations of learners and how they self-identify, while also breaking down our own personal biases in order to develop a sense of tolerance and acceptance of others!
Katie: Coordinator of Employment Services
Katie has been working for Living Resources since 2015. She started as a Life Skills Instructor for the College Experience and then began working as a Career Counselor for the College Experience in 2016. She now teaches career exploration classes and works to prepare students for competitive employment through volunteer and internship opportunities. She enjoys helping students explore their career interests and master new skills on-the-job. Katie received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The College of Saint Rose in 2015.
Cole: Community Coordinator
Cole received his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Siena College. He started as a Life Skills Instructor here at College Experience teaching students both in the classrooms and residential dorms. Cole was promoted into the Community Coordinator position in the early months of 2018. As the Community Coordinator, Cole aids students in becoming involved with the College of Saint Rose and the surrounding Capital District. In addition to creating the calendar of events for students, Cole teaches courses in finance, travel navigation and cooking.
Dominick started with the College Experience as the Community Coordinator teaching classes and bridging students with the college campus activities and Albany community. Dominick was promoted to QIDP in 2018. In this role, Dominick teaching courses and oversees the student’s academic plans and development. Dominick graduated from Sage College with his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education.
Allison Fuller: Clinical Therapist MSW, LCSW-R
Allison has a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Nazareth College and her Master’s Degree from University of Albany in Social Welfare. In 2001 Allison stared out in the field assisting those with mental illness. By 2006, Allison began working for Living Resources Clinical Department helping individuals within all agency programs including College Experience. Allison’s talents have allowed her to travel and teach others in the field including a trip to Beijing, China to teach and work with staff serving individuals with autism. In 2016, Allison took a new position with Landmark Health as a Social Worker on an interdisciplinary team with the mission to transform Healthcare by bringing comprehensive health care into the homes of individuals living with chronic medical conditions. In 2018, Allison returned to Living Resources to focus working with students in the College Experience & CareerNext Programs.
Diana Halstead: Admissions Coordinator
Diana joined the College Experience staff in 2019. Diana earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from SUNY Oswego and a Master of Public Administration degree from Excelsior College. Since graduation, she has been working with youth and young adults with disabilities in both direct service and administrative roles. Diana currently assists prospective students and caregivers in navigating the admissions process for the College Experience Program at the College of Saint Rose and the CareerNext Program at SUNY Schenectady and SUNY Cobleskill.
Jesse Saperstein: Media and Activities Liaison
His roles within the program include the Blog Writer, the Alumni Activities Coordinator, the Volunteer Coordinator, and a Life Coach for some of our alumni within the Transitions as well as the Community Habilitation programs. Throughout the rest of Living Resources he serves as a Staff Trainer, the Creative Writing instructor within the DCOP Program, and the Self-Advocacy Liaison. Jesse graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges located in Geneva, NY in 2004 with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in English and a Minor in Peer Education. Jessehas been employed with Living Resources since 2015 when he started out as the Habilitation Liaison and was moved up to the Media and Activities Liaison in 2016. Jesse also has a part-time career as a public orator where he lectures about his journey with Asperger’s syndrome and is the author of two books published by Penguin Group (USA) in 2010 and 2014. They are titled, “Atypical” and “Getting a Life with Asperger’s.”
