What is the College Experience?

The College Experience is a two-year certificate program that gives students with developmental disabilities the opportunity to attend college, be part of a campus community, and take part in a program that helps them transition to independent adult life. Collaboratively developed by The College of Saint Rose and Living Resources, The College Experience program combines general education courses, elective courses, and real world living and job experiences to prepare students for success in the real world.

This program is made possible by the Opportunities for People Through Services (OPTS) initiative started by the New York State Office for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
