On the date of Saturday, February 1, 2020, three alumni from the College Experience set off on a road and train trip with their Media and Activities Liaison all the way to New York City. Staff drove everyone from Albany to the Poughkeepsie Train Station. Upon our arrival, we painted the town red with an entire day of fun and Broadway magic.

On Wednesday, January 8, 2020 Jesse sent a producer for the Dr. Phil Show a letter about David’s story and asked for help for his friend who had an estimated few more years to live with this self-destructive path of food addiction. The pitch was promptly accepted with the producers making arrangements for David, his family, and Jesse to travel to Hollywood, CA to meet for the first time in person on the show!
Nick Williams, who is a 2019 alumnus of the College Experience, has been pursuing his acting ambitions and recently had a stellar performance at the St. Anne Institute located at 160 North Main Avenue. The event was called, “Dining with Will,” which was promoted as “A hearty and delicious collage of Shakespeare scenes and monologues”.
he College Experience cares deeply about environmental issues and always encourages the students to recycle in their houses by separating items of trash. We want our students to go off into the world and reduce their carbon footprint as much as possible. On that note, one of the many trips we took into the community over the past few months was an excursion to the Albany City Dump.
Henry Fischer is a shining example of an alumnus who has risen to the occasion as far as using the skills taught to him during his two years as a College Experience alumnus. We wish to congratulate Henry for all he has accomplished in less than a year.

Back in December 2016 the historic Madison Theatre shut its doors after having been a staple within the students’ neighborhood for just under a century. On December 19th it reopened boasting a restaurant and modern conveniences such as an adjacent restaurant that serves food directly in the theatre.
On the evening of Saturday, January 4, 2020 the Alumni Activities Club had quite a night. We saw the new Tom Hanks movie and Fred Rogers biopic, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, at the Landmark Spectrum 8 Theatres.
