Twelve high school students participated in the 2019 Summer Exchange at the College Experience. Students spent the week attending College Experience classes, sleeping in the College of Saint Rose dorms, and visiting a number of attractions located around the Albany area.
Students practiced cooking, navigating the CDTA bus line, and a number of additional independent living skills. Throughout the week, students attended a Tri-City ValleyCats baseball game, visited the Corning Tower, toured the NYS Museum, and participated in a semi-formal dance.
We had a great time introducing the Summer Exchange students to life at the College of Saint Rose and hope to see them return as full time students at the College Experience!
What comes after graduation? Many College Experience students, in fact most, choose to remain in Albany. They maintain friendships with their fellow and former graduates, form romantic partnerships, and some get married.
