We are so proud as a program to recognize current senior Lauren Wasielewski and her accomplishments in publishing her writing pieces! Lauren is quickly becoming a regular contributor at The Mighty, a website that shares stories and articles about disabilities and disability awareness. Stories from The Mighty have also been featured on major news outlets including Yahoo News and Good Morning America.

As Lauren’s instructor, I have seen tremendous growth in her, and really, in all of our senior students during their time here at The College Experience and I could not be any prouder. They all have become more confident versions of themselves, and their unique talents are shining through. We hope to feature many more of our students and their stories on the blog soon!
What comes after graduation? Many College Experience students, in fact most, choose to remain in Albany. They maintain friendships with their fellow and former graduates, form romantic partnerships, and some get married.
