There is nothing more enjoyable than rocking around the Christmas Tree in one’s own home! The College Experience houses are now decorated with Christmas tinsel and other forms of holiday joy prepared by our resourceful students.
This past Friday, there was a Christmas Celebration in one of the homes that is large enough to accommodate everybody in the program. All those in attendance enjoyed a wide selection of pastries that were prepared by the students themselves with only moderate assistance from staff.
Various activities and games took place as everybody moved to the beat of their favorite holiday tunes. A couple of ambitious students even tried conquering a puzzle with hundreds of pieces!
We look forward to more celebrations that will commemorate our cherished holidays and allow the students to “cut loose” to break up the academic schedule of the school year.
What comes after graduation? Many College Experience students, in fact most, choose to remain in Albany. They maintain friendships with their fellow and former graduates, form romantic partnerships, and some get married.
