This post comes a little bit late, but we wanted to share some of the festivities our CEP students and staff participated in leading up to Halloween!
Michelle Brown’s History Class participated in the “Capitol Hauntings” Tour at the NYS Capitol. Apparently, the Capitol building is said to be full of historical ghosts and ghouls. I heard from the students that much of the building was burnt down in a tragic fire in 1911, in which the night watchman was killed. He is said to have returned to haunt the halls today. Spooky!
Instructor Jen Sanderson provided her students with an opportunity to practice all of the communication skills her students have been learning in their “Communications” course by hosting an in-class Halloween party! Students practice courtesies, engaging in conversation, and other essential skills. Sorry, no photos from the class party!
Students and staff also had a great time checking out some spooky-themed events on campus! I hope that’s not a real witch, guys!
