At the College Experience we love to highlight and celebrate the budding talents of our students. One of the lessons we have been teaching the students is developing a greater consciousness related to our carbon footprint while making good choices in order to do our part to repair the damage. On that note, we would like to present a photograph taken by a freshman student named Gillian Kelley this past winter. Her camera captured a squirrel at the right moment who appeared to be biting into a piece of plastic trash that was discarded around the College of Saint Rose neighborhood. The choices that people make impact the fragile ecosystems and wildlife all around them. This is just one piece of evidence that we have to continue rolling up our sleeves to reduce discarded waste and non-biodegradable materials, such as Styrofoam. We thank Gillian for providing this visual representation of a problem we are doing our best to improve here at the College Experience!
