Join the NYS Writers Institute for a reading with Nic Stone, author of the debut young adult novel, Dear Martin.
Nic Stone is the author of the debut young adult novel Dear Martin (2017), which is loosely inspired by a series of true events involving the shooting deaths of unarmed African-American teenagers. Following a personal run-in with police, the book’s main character starts a journal to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in an attempt to determine if King’s teachings remain relevant in the modern world.
What comes after graduation? Many College Experience students, in fact most, choose to remain in Albany. They maintain friendships with their fellow and former graduates, form romantic partnerships, and some get married.
