The College Experience would like to show our collective gratitude to a 2014 alumnus named, Andrew Maggio for the generous donation of his two James Patterson books to promote recreational reading among our new students. The books were dropped off on the evening of Tuesday, August 18, 2020 and we are hoping the students will take a shine to them. Andrew has chosen to given back to the program in a number of ways such as speaking to the Employment and Self-Advocacy Classes during the summer months.
One of the numerous amenities that is located only a stone’s throw away from the student residences is the Pine Grove Library that we anticipate the students will access whenever they want when it is seemed to be safe and things start opening back up.
What comes after graduation? Many College Experience students, in fact most, choose to remain in Albany. They maintain friendships with their fellow and former graduates, form romantic partnerships, and some get married.
