The Alumni Activities Club returned to the movies for the first time in at least a year and three months! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has indicated that vaccinated individuals may safely gather in indoor, public places. Therefore, we decided that it was high time we embraced this wonderful pastime of the Old Normal.
Andrew Maggio advocated that the Alumni Activities Club see a new movie called, “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,” which is a horror movie allegedly based on a true story. We traveled to the Crossgates Mall in Guilderland, NY where the movie theatre was waiting for us as though we never left! As more people become vaccinated around the country…we anticipate seeing harbingers that circumstances are returning to the way we remember. The College Experience and the rest of Living Resources is still continuing to take precautions such as mask-wearing while working with the individuals in our care. We also have been closely following the updated guidelines from the CDC and the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
Stay tuned for more adventures this summer with the Alumni Activities Club! Included in this photograph is Andrew (to the right) posing alongside his Alumni Activities Coordinator, Jesse Saperstein at Regal Cinemas in the Crossgates Mall.
