On the date of Thursday, June 21, 2018 students of the College Experience navigated the CDTA buses on their own to Joseph Bruno Stadium located in Troy, NY. Our home team of the ValleyCats squared off against the Boston Red Sox affiliate, The Lowell Spinners during a perfect summer night when local school children were celebrating the start of vacation while our students welcomed the official first day of summer!
In the words of the coach from the iconic 1990s football film Rudy, “No one…and I mean, no one comes into our house and pushes us around!” With that said, the ValleyCats managed to hold onto an impressive lead against the visiting team, and the College Experience students enjoyed a playlist of 1980s music followed by a stellar fireworks display!
This night was all about Living Resources, Inc. as the ValleyCats dedicated the night toward supporting our programs, and our CEO Fred Erlich threw out the first pitch dressed as Bruce Springsteen! One of the individuals in the DCOP programs named, Alanna also inspired thousands of attendees with her rendition of the National Anthem. See footage here from one of her past performances in 2014.
Living Resources, Inc. is quite fortunate to live in the Capital Region that has embraced the talents and abilities of all our individuals. We look forward to additional adventures around Albany and elsewhere!
