It is an expression as old as time. “The show must go on.” This applies to a pandemic, even if modifications must be made in order to ensure safety precautions are met as thespian talents are allowed to flourish.
Our 2018 College Experience alumnus, Nick Williams engaged in his first Zoom performance with his peers at the Blue Horse Repertory Company (www.Bluehorserepertory.com) The list of scenes that were acted out on this virtual format are listed below. Nick helped perform the scenes from, “Revolutionary Road” and “Thor Ragnarok.” Nick developed an Australian accent for “Thor Ragnarok” and at least half of both scenes were improvised to make Nick’s acting performance more impressive.
Nick has received personal advice from the Hollywood character actor Bruce Altman and has attended performances in New York City with EPIC Players, which is a neurodiverse theatre company. What comes after graduation? Many College Experience students, in fact most, choose to remain in Albany. They maintain friendships with their fellow and former graduates, form romantic partnerships, and some get married.
