We happily present to you an image of freshman student Dan in his dorm area and one of his many culinary concoctions created so far during the fall semester. In this case, it was macaroni and cheese with a chicken sandwich waiting on the table. The students remain very busy with class, maintaining their living space, and learning new skills such as cooking.
While there are a plethora of dining options a stone’s throw away from their houses, but we encourage the students to save as much money as possible by creating their own meals. We teach them the skills to hone these abilities during Cooking Class as well as Family Cook Night in the evenings. Food shopping is performed at Market 32 located minutes away by foot, down the street and offers a chance to also teach budgeting skills!
