On the date of Thursday, November 4th, 2022 we said “see you again real soon when you are not vacationing in Mexico” to our beloved Director of Clinical Services.
Jeffrey Hallenbeck has been a veteran employee of Living Resources, Inc. for twenty-three years! Jeff managed to hone every second by supervising three clinicians as well as between six and seven graduate interns. He also wrote behavioral therapy plans, performed psychological assessments as well as evaluations, and conducted many sessions within the training department. Outside of the agency, Jeff has served as the President of the Board in the Damien Center, which works with Albany residents who are struggling with housing challenges and HIV/AIDS diagnoses. He has also helped many of our College Experience students through difficult transitions and rough patches.
Before joining our team, Jeff was at Saratoga Bridges for fifteen years and has an extensive background in mental health. He started his career working with the homeless and mentally-ill in Boston. Jeff has said the two best parts about working at Living Resources are “being exposed to a very supportive work environment in addition to the agency being open-minded toward innovation and cutting-edge approaches to behavioral health.”
Friday, November 4th, 2022 was Jeff’s last day at Living Resources. The previous day we “retired” the Board Room from hosting the typical weekly meetings and threw Jeffrey Hallenbeck the retirement party of his dreams. The event was complete with video messages from long-time co-workers referencing inside jokes and the inevitable basket of novelty items with a plaque that said the following:
23 Years of Dedication
Over 8,400 days, hundreds of problems solved, inspiring projects, countless lives touched, unforgettable friendship, everlasting memories. Thank you for the difference you made, Jeffrey Almonte-Hallenbeck.
We wish Jeffrey Hallenbeck a wonderful retirement with his close friends and family around for the adventures!
