The journey toward adulthood is anything but complete once the students leave the auspices of the College Experience. As a matter of fact, it is only just beginning. We are always overjoyed whenever our alumni continue to notch up some accomplishments such as earning a Driver’s License or some type of professional credential. In addition to their own tenacity and the support offered within their families, we would like to believe our program also helped with earning these accomplishments. The students learned to tackle major goals in increments while knowing when to ask for help. Their success is also our success. On that note…
The College Experience and Living Resources are offering our congratulatory wishes to 34-year-old Denise T. Riley who graduated from the program back in May 2012. She recently earned her Certification of Completion to become a Temporary Nurse Aide (TNA). Denise completed an online examination that had fifty questions and passed with flying colors. She decided to celebrate with her fellow alumni, Brendan Salmon and Amy Maiorano at Juniors Restaurant on Madison Avenue to celebrate. Denise has had a long career helping the residents at the Teresian House, which is located near the main office of Living Resources. Next March will mark her 10-year anniversary since setting foot in this new adventure all the way back in March 2013. The Teresian House has a stellar reputation of providing quality care for those who are elderly and/or have disabilities while hiring several of our alumni subsequent to their graduation from our program.
Keep up the phenomenal work, Denise! (Left to right in the photograph captured at Juniors Restaurant is Brendan, Amy, and Denise.)
