On the date of Thursday, May 17, 2018 the College Experience staff members, Jennifer Richard and Jesse Saperstein joined their Living Resources, Inc. colleagues for the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge. The annual challenge was held at the Governor Nelson Rockefeller Empire State Plaza on a day with pristine weather! Some participants chose to walk for nearly two hours and others ran the 3.5 mile journey in under half-an-hour. Numerous Living Resources, Inc. employees made an impact along with approximately 10,000 other individuals representing their businesses and helping to raise money for several benevolent causes. The CDPHP Workforce is organized by, and serves as the major fundraiser for, the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC), which supports college scholarships, grants, free races for members, and the Just Run® Program, which encourages grade school children to run for exercise and fun. CDPHP is now in its ninth year as the primary sponsor of this event. Money is also raised for the Albany Public Library and the Northeast Regional Food Bank.

The route took us through beautiful regions of the State Capital including Washington Park where the tulips are still in full-bloom. At the College Experience we value community participation as well as regular activities that promote physical fitness. Jennifer and Jesse enthusiastically pushed themselves through the long route while saying an official goodbye to the winter that many feel overstayed its welcome!
