“Nature and art are the most nurturing and calming parts of my life so I’m always drawn towards painting the many beautiful places I visit. I often paint in one sitting, working quickly and predominantly with a palette knife, applying thick impasto paint on wood panels in an effort to mimic the strength and confidence I find when I’m out in nature.”–
Ann Norsworthy is an Award Winning Abstract and Fine Art Photographer, Mixed Media & Visual Artist based in New York. While her interests have expanded over 30+ years, her mission to capture beauty for others to enjoy remains the cornerstone of her art.
Come and meet Ann at this year’s Stockade Art Show, September 9th.
Maria De Angelo is a studio artist, working in the Capital Region of New York State. Teaching in and around the Adirondack Park had a great influence on Maria as an artist. Her love of the interaction of color and the beauty of nature inspire her work created in diverse media. She is currently an Artist in Residence at Arlene’s Artist Materials located in Albany, NY, exploring intersections between personal history and plant forms using printmaking, painting and stitching.
Look for her work on Saturday, September 9th at the Stockade Art Show.
Tracy Loring is a mixed media painter, instructor, and intuitive coach. Her work explores the organic and unexpected nature of the intersection between intention and intuition. Cultivating her intuitive intelligence is a key part of her work resulting in paintings that lean toward the abstract and sometimes fantastical. She loves to paint in acrylic, oil, watercolor, and encaustic. Regardless of the media, Tracy strives to explore luminosity, color, and especially texture, in every piece she creates.
See her work at the Stockade Art Show Sat. September 9th, rain date Sunday the 10th.
