ASHA: South Asian Young Women Giving Voice to Our Mental Health and Well-Being

Prioritize self-care with the Steve Fund and the Counseling Center! The Steve Fund is a mental health organization that focuses on the needs of college aged students of color. The Counseling Center is partnering with them to give you access to special (virtual!) events all semester! Here’s what’s coming up:
- ASHA: South Asian Young Women Giving Voice to Our Mental Health and Well-Being
- When: April 5 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
- What: The workshop will explore cultural nuances on the factors impacting mental health in the young woman in the South Asian community, including understanding gender dynamics, parental and community influences, exploring common experiences and challenges, and collectivist/community influences. Ways to address mental health from an individual, family, and community perspective will be explored and culturally responsive resources will be shared. Practitioners and educators supporting South Asian girls and young women are encouraged to attend as well! Click here to register for the workshop.
